Lunch in the Park

Miller Park- Downtown Chattanooga

We like to meet ndividuals where they live. Using our Director’s homemade recipes, every Wednesday we offer meals in Miller Park from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m.,  come rain, sleet, snow or hail just like the United States Postal Service. We serve on average 10,400 bowls of soup through our Lunch in the Park program every year. We do this to promote a sense of community and to build relationships by offering the love of Christ.

This program also offers those who have come through our program the opportunity to give back. Most of our volunteers who serve in our Lunch in the Park program were at one time on the other side of the table themselves and they appreciate what a warm, homecooked meal means while your down on your luck.

*** We have moved Lunch in the Park to the Community Kitchen and the Salvation Army on McCallie Avenue while Miller Park is being rennovated. ***

For more information on you and your small group or organization can be a part of our Lunch in the Park program, contact Barry Kidwell.
